An e-commerce journey connecting catalog, checkout and business administration.
Project overview
An e-commerce solution connecting the customer's shopping journey with the business's internal administration. I designed and developed catalog browsing, product variants, a wishlist, cart and checkout, alongside email-based customer accounts, profiles and delivery addresses. Stripe handles payments, while a restricted back office provides tools for managing orders, content and product images. Shopping and administration have distinct workflows, with products, orders and account data connected throughout. The work combines the design of cart and checkout interactions with the product and customer models that support the store's commercial operations.
My contribution
- Connecting catalog browsing and variant selection with cart and checkout states.
- Defining distinct shopping and administration workflows around shared products, orders and customer data.
- Implementing account and delivery-address management, Stripe payments and internal order and content tools.

Python and Django, MySQL in production, and server-rendered templates with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap and jQuery.
Shopping and accounts
A custom email-based user model connects profiles and addresses. A session/cookie-based cart works alongside the catalog, product variants, wishlist and restricted administration.
Payments and content
Stripe integration includes webhook endpoints. Content and image processing use Pillow and WebP conversion. Deployment is documented on PythonAnywhere.
